How do I secure the climbing frame to the ground?

For securing the climbing frame to the ground, our shop has several ground anchors, SAFETY ground anchors, anchor sleeves and H-anchors. The legs of all our climbing frames may be secured with any of these options.

Important: In the case of sloping climbing walls and ladders, only ground anchors and SAFETY ground anchors are suitable.
Thus for a climbing frame with 4 legs and a ladder, you could use any one of the following solutions:

Solution 1: 6 ground anchors
Solution 2: 6 Safety ground anchors
Solution 3: 4 anchor sleeves + 2 ground anchors or Safety ground anchors
Solution 4: 4 H-anchors + 2 ground anchors or Safety ground anchors

* All examples are recommendations and are not according to TÜV and CE.

Which anchors are better?

Ground anchors for climbing frames
Advantages: Simple and quick to fix. They can be attached to the inner face so that they are not visible from the outside.
Disadvantages: Stabilises the post on only one side.

SAFETY ground anchors for climbing frames
Advantages: Very stable. The post is stabilised in all directions. They can be attached to the inner face of the climbing frame so that they are not visible from the outside.
Disadvantages: More work because they can only be secured in concrete.

Anchor sleeves for climbing frames
Advantages: Very stable. The post is stabilised in all directions.
Disadvantages: Climbing frames with integrated sandpits require more work, since the base planks need to be secured to the metal. The metal is visible.

H-anchors for climbing frames
Advantages: The most stable solution.
Disadvantages: More work because they can only be secured in concrete. As with anchor sleeves, the base shelves need to be secured to the metal.

Where do I place the safety tiles?

At each ladder 4 pc.
At each slide 2 pc.
At each swing, climbing net, rope ladder etc. 4-6 pc.
Note: This is recommended and not according to TÜV and CE. According to TÜV, the entire climbing frame needs to be surrounded with safety tiles.

Can I build the climbing frame differently than indicated on the manual?

We recommend not changing the formation of the main elements of the climbing frame. Our designers constructed the climbing frames to be stable and safe. If you make changes to this construction it is at your own risk and this will affect the guarantee.
